How to Straighten Wavy hair

Everybody, especially women, after making do with curly hair for a long time, seems to have this innate desire, how to straighten Wavy Hair. Depending on an individual’s taste and preferences, they might either want it permanently or for a short, temporary duration but this is certainly something that all of us want to try at least once. The first step before beginning the straightening process is to acknowledge what type of hair you have. All hair types have a suited straightening aid to achieve a straight look. You will therefore need to decide whether your hair is really thick and unmanageable, fine or frizzes easily. You also have to determine if a permanent long term straight look is what you want or if you just want a temporary straight hair. Many women enjoy their curls and therefore only seek straight hair for a short while.

You can go-ahead with the straightening process when you have decided on your type of hair and how long you would like straight hair for. One can choose from straightening creams, relaxers and straightening irons to make your hair straight. The first two mentioned are perfect for coarse hair and also give long term straight hair. However, different hair types should use different straightener and relaxer creams. There are creams for coarse hair and regular type hair available. Alternatively, you may opt to have your hair chemically straightened, which can have some damaging effects on your hair. This is costly too. The other kind of way requires a few tool and hair products and is something that you can do on your own. Straight hair can now be achieved even easier with the hair iron tool. Gone are the days when curling iron used to be in vogue and using it was a big deal, with everyone having curly hair, but now, the straightening iron is slowly and gradually taking over; that crown now adorns straightening irons

To start, it is always a good idea to have pomade, straightening cream, and some type of hair oil to help with conditioning and giving life back to your hair. Invest in a straightening iron that has a comb in it as you are to work it through. This is how you straighten hair:

1. Wash and towel-dry your hair. Do a quick sweep of your hair with the blow dryer.

2. Divide your hair into sections for working on individually.

3. Take your straightening iron and pick up strands with a fine tooth comb, if you don’t have the nifty kind of straightening iron with the build in comb. Work through each section that you divided individually, always picking your hair up with the comb, then clamping the flat iron near the roots. As you are clamping the hair at the root, begin to pull the hair through all the way to the end. Repeat as necessary.

4. Straightening irons do not guarantee permanently straight hair. Used with straightening creams and relaxers, these irons can encourage a better straight look to the hair. Remember that protection products need to be applied to the hair when straightening the hair with an iron. There are different serums, sprays and lotions that gives great protection to hair that is about to be ironed and also gives that extra shine for a healthier look.

5. After finishing off the last section of hair, apply one of the styling products for maximum effect.

Here are some tips on how to straighten wavy hair -

Keep Hair Short – Keeping your hair short will help. Shorter hair is more manageable and easier to work with. Of course, there is always the option to shave your head. Let’s not go that far though unless you want too.

Grow Hair Long – If the buzz cut or shaving of your head is not an option, then grow it out. To tame your wild do, follow the suggestions below -

• Get regular haircuts, meaning at least every 4 to 6 weeks. Having your hair cut different angles will help for less volume.

• Try not to blow dry, since this will increase volume. If you cannot avoid using a blow dryer, make sure to set it at the lowest temperature. While you brush, use the hair dryer and then voila, you have less body and a straighter look. Trust me, it is not as hard as it seems.

• Another tip for getting your hair straighter is quick and only involves your head of hair wet, brushing, and the application of hairspray.

• Choose the right products for your hair. There are many products made to help in reducing the overall body and waves in your hair. The best hair oil for hair care is Mira hair oil, this oil is known to stop hair loss and promote the growth of healthy hair. Mira hair oil does it all.
